WV Checkpoints DUI Checkpoint locator for WV. Most tickets given at checkpoints are NOT DUI related. Don't fall victim. Most ticket given at DUI checkpoints are not for DUI.

They are given for expired tags, illegal window tint, headlight out ect ect. Not to mention the long waits and if you get picked out of the crowd for a random it puts up every further behind. Once your window is rolled down to opens speculation of whether the cop "smells" alcohol in your car or "smells" marijuana. There is no way to prove smell so the officers "suspicion" will hold up in court as

probable cause.
14 state do no allow checkpoints because they have voted that it violates the 4th amendment right, illegal search and seizure. So even if you do not drink and think that a DUI checkpoint has nothing to do with you, you're wrong!! "Click it or ticket" "Drive sober or get pulled over" and the 20 other ones out there are all campaigns used by and funded by the government to create revenue. You take smaller town like Kenova and West Hamlin. It's these towns that you hear about cops being so aggressive, well its simply do to these government funded programs that allow cops to be extra aggressive to write more tickets such as seat belt tickets during "click it or ticket" month.
