Press Release:
JohnKing Grill & Bar Joins “Full Belly, Full Hearts”
JohnKing Grill & Bar at 428 King St has accepted the challenge put forth by Charleston Hospitality Group owner Sam Mustafa., and will be joining the efforts of the “Full Belly, Full Hearts” campaign.
“We will be offering free meals to the medical community and those F&B employees who have been laid off due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic” said Lonnie Knight, JohnKing Grill & Bar’s Operating Partner.
Mustafa created the “Full Belly, Full Hearts” campaign to help the displaced members of the Charleston F&B Family and those medical workers risking their health to take care of our community. The Toast of Charleston, Toast of West Ashley, Toast of Mt Pleasant, and Toast of Summerville locations all have served these free meals, and have challenged other restaurants to do the same.
“JohnKing Grill & Bar has accepted the challenge!”, said Knight. “We are excited to join this great cause, and lend a hand to those in need. We appreciate our loyal customers who have continued to order takeout from us, which has allowed us to keep some of our employees working and put us in the position to give back.”
“Thank you to our food service partners, PFG and Lamb Weston, for their generous donation of food to this great cause. We appreciate them helping us make this possible,” said Knight.
JohnKing Grill & Bar will start giving out these meals this Friday April 3 from 12pm-7pm, and continue in to the weekend daily for as long as the food lasts.
If you are a food supplier or a restaurant owner who has closed your restaurant and would like to donate food to this cause, please call Lonnie Knight at 843-898-1011.
