Our certified technician, Linda Parrish partners with Saving Loudoun's Littles - One Car Seat at a Time to ensure your child's car seat is properly secured in your vehicle. According to Seatcheck.org, 7 out of 10 children are incorrectly restrained in a vehicle, which can be very dangerous in the event of an accident. Each car seat check will take approximately 30 minutes and is by appointment only.

When you wonder what’s in the little jewelry-sized box and it isn’t what you expected for Valentine’s Day! 🤣 We don’t actually suggest giving your Valentine an oil drain plug! But if your vehicle needs one, you know where to find us!

One of the last things we think about during quarantine is the car. Out of sight out of mind? If you are truly not using it at all, we highly recommend that at a minimum you go out and start it, and let it run for about 20 minutes. Doing this will allow the battery to recharge and exercise and lubricate all of the moving engine parts. Better yet, why just sit in the car? Take it for a little spin, a few miles down the road and back. Now we are exercising all the moving parts. Cars that sit for long periods tend to develop rust on the rotors and if you’re like me and use your emergency brake while parked, that constant pressure, pads to the rotors, can cause damage over time. Check the tires, are they inflated? Under inflated tires can cause damage to the sidewalls and parked for extended periods of time, flat spots. Running the car will also aid in keeping wildlife from nesting in the engine compartment. Squirrels, mice, cats and snakes are just a few of the likely squatters you will find. They can cause severe damage to hoses and electrical components. These are just a few simple things that you can do yourself to ensure you are ready to roll when the time comes. Eventually, this will be over and we will once again take to the roads. While I have to say it’s been nice not having to rush from work to afterschool events and weekend sports, there is something good to be said about getting out of the house!
Is it raining inside your car? We hope not, but in this case it was. The culprit was a blocked drain in the sunroof. Many are not driving daily so its a good idea to check your car periodically to ensure everything is ok. #carcare

Reprise from my page April 6th: I often see people looking for recommendations for a reliable mechanic. I cannot speak too highly of Dulles South Chantilly Automotive https://www.facebook.com/chantillyautomotive.
They hit on all cylinders: knowledge, price, trust worthy, friendly, and timely. I'd like to call out Chris especially as he was patient with my questions & concerns and as well providing thorough answers.
Located off rt. 50, a 30 minute drive for me well worth it and were substantially lower cost than the Lexus dealership (to Dulles South Chantilly Auto) based on phone estimates of less work.
