Now hiring; Mechanic PT or FT- Primary responsibility is the maintenance and preventive care of the fleet of vehicles ( Diesel and Gas). They typically help keep logs of all maintenance services for each vehicle, including tracking mileage and recommending service work.
As each vehicle passes these thresholds for necessary service, the fleet mechanics perform routine duties such as changing out oil and filters, adjusting timing, and checking brake wear-and-tear. Fleet mechanics also respond to non-routine maintenance and perform repairs on vehicles in the fleet as needed. They may log any problems noted by drivers, including warning lights or gauges operating outside acceptable levels, and then diagnose their causes, acquire necessary replacement parts, and perform all repairs and reassembly as needed. All repairs, like routine maintenance, are logged by fleet mechanics so the fleet manager can determine which vehicles may be becoming more difficult to maintain.

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message or call someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages, emails and phone calls.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner... All while being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend... it’s one of the hardest things you will try and balance. If you give your time, you will sacrifice financial benefit. If you strive for financial benefit, you will have to sacrifice your time. It’s just the way it goes when your business is relying on you to survive and you’re relying on your business to provide!

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses... and hopefully more of us will stick around!

PRIMARY JOB : * Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary * Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles * Maintain and repair fleet equipment * Maintain records such as daily check list (pre-trip inspection) * Reliable, predictable attendance
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* At least 21 years of age
* Pass the drug test
* Pass the background check
* Valid drivers license
* Must pass technical assessment
* Mechanical knowledge of gas and diesel repair
* Tools and/ or equipment to perform the job
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
* Working with computer instrumentation (e.g., using desktop computers, hand-held computers, laptop computers, performing diagnostics with computers, conducting preventative maintenance, executing work orders, etc.)
* Working with manufacturing standards (e.g., knowing current standards, staying up-to-date with the latest technology, having experience working with electronics, etc.)
* Repairing light trucks (e.g., trucks, vans, support vehicles, etc.)

Drivers Needed ******sign on bonus for drivers with experience********
Part Time or Full Time
Drives a Tow Truck up to legal limits allowed (as regulated by DOT) and requires weekends and / or holiday work. Responsible for the safe operation of the truck which includes: pre-trip and post-trip inspections, safe loading and unloading of the units including proper securement of the vehicles. Our drivers must communicate professionally with the customers and report any customer issues / complaints to appropriate internal contacts. The position also requires the completion of invoices / billing, mileage and fuel records, a smart phone or tablet, Vehicle Condition Reports, and other forms as required. Our drivers are required to keep the truck cab and body clean. Maintains compliance with all applicable Company and Governmental regulations.
Requirements:
The ability to get in and out of the truck repeatedly throughout the workday.
Valid Drivers License with a good driving record will be acceptable .Experience with towing / hauling of disabled vehicles, tire changing, and lock outs preferred, but will train if necessary. Must be 24 years of age or older
