π THANK YOU, FRANKLIN COUNTY! π
On August 9, 2025, the Franklin County Fairgrounds came alive with generosity, community spirit, and a shared commitment to the future of agriculture. Thanks to 71 incredible local businesses and individuals, the 2025 Franklin County 4-H Livestock Sale raised an astounding $255,900 β all of which goes directly to support the 47 hardworking 4-H members who raised and sold their animals. ππππ
Your support not only recognizes the dedication of these young agriculturalists, but also invests in their growth, education, and future in farming. We are deeply grateful for your belief in them!
π A Special Shoutout to 13 Businesses Who Gave Twice π
In an inspiring act of community care, 13 businesses donated their purchased animals to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, which will have the meat processed and returned to Franklin County Food Banks to help address food insecurity in our area. Together, they donated 20 animals β including 3 steers, 12 pigs, 4 lambs, and 1 goat β ensuring that families in need will have access to fresh, nutritious protein.
These generous donors include:
Diller Ag Equipment, F&M Trust, Great Cove Solar II LLC, Heck-Meyers LLC, IBM Rental Management, Iron Valley Real Estate, MBL Garage, McCleary Oil Company, Meyers Bus Lines, Musser Mechanical, Patriot Federal Credit Union, Rife Motor Company, and Shippensburg Storage Units.
Your compassion and leadership are making a real difference. π
π± Invest in Businesses Who Invest in Our Youth π±
When you support companies that support 4-H, you're helping build a stronger, more resilient future for agriculture. These young people are learning responsibility, stewardship, and the value of hard work β and they are the future of our farms, our food, and our communities.
Follow along this week as we recognize the businesses who purchased Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion animals! ππ
