☀️🚗 WHEN THE SUN BECOMES A ROAD HAZARD!
Ever been driving when suddenly the sun hits your windshield just right and you can barely see what’s in front of you?
That momentary blindness can be all it takes for an accident to happen.
🌅 Sun glare is especially dangerous during sunrise and sunset, when the sun sits low on the horizon and shines directly into a driver’s eyes.
Here are a few ways to protect yourself:
☀️ Keep your windshield clean. Dirt, streaks, and smudges can make glare even worse.
🕶️ Wear polarized sunglasses. They can help reduce reflected glare.
🚗 Increase your following distance. Give yourself extra time to react to vehicles ahead.
☀️ Use your sun visor. Adjust it to block direct sunlight without obstructing your view.
⚠️ Slow down when visibility decreases. If you can’t see safely, pull over somewhere safe until conditions improve.
Remember: Just because the sun is shining doesn’t mean driving conditions are perfect!
