It is with deep regret that the Goldendale 1/2 mile is no more. The owner has decided not to put all of his time and money into a dead horse. A few things that contribited to his decision was no open dates for Goldendale in 2019, and as we all know there are not enough riders in the PNW to run two races on the same day. At last years season opener, and ex pro bashed Scott ( the owner)pretty good and telling him and his wife they built a track that was going to kill somebody.. Nice coment to some one that put a hole week of work to make it happen..I wont go any futher with this and want to thank all that supported the Goldendale 1/2 mile and hope you all had fun that supported it .. Have a safe 2019..

Well kinda a delima.. The only open date we got for 2019 was April 28 and now Bosie is running that date ? Leaves a big 0 for Goldendale ..

Here are the race dates established at the meeting Goldendale was not informed about for 2019. As you can see Goldendale was granted only one race in 2019. this make it really hard to get sponsors for one race, but right know it is what it is. So question ? And we really need your input here.. If Goldendale was to do a season opener in April, A double header in April on Saturday and Sunday, with Satuday being a TT ( replica of ASCOT) and the 3/8 mile on Sunday, woud there be any interest ? There would be a pro purse for each day.

All,

Due to the fact that 2 other racetracks are running the weekend of August 18th, it is with a heavy heart that we must cancel the doubleheader for the 8/18 & 8/19 weekend.
Nobody wins when there are multiple races on the same date so we will step aside this weekend and wish the best for the other racetracks.

That said, let us be the first to set April 27th & 28th 2019 as our next race. It will be a double header as well with prizes and purse carryover.
The weather gets better earlier on the eastern side of the mountains so this date should be conflict free.

We very sorry to have to cancel this weekend but we are very committed to next year.

Sweet photo from Goldendale last race. Next one is a double header in August 18th and 19th. They have been working really hard and getting the track good be sure to make plans to come race the Northwests only half mile.

Goldendale Half Mile Series:
This year all classes will be offered including Hooligans and Quads.. You have to run 3 of the 4 races to qualify for the high point series.

Goldendale, WA Half Mile is the day after the Pendleton Chute Out, 75 miles to the west. These two race tracks back-to-back looks like a ton of fun.
Goldendale is a big, wide track with a bit of elevation change between the front and back straights, sited on a hillside
overlooking farm fields, wind turbines, and Mount Adams. They are starting today to prep the track with lots of blading and watering all week long for a better, safer track!

“Summer Chute Out in Pendleton” (rodeo pun?) is coming up on July 21. Contact and registration info is on the poster. This will be followed by the Goldendale, Wash., Half-Mile on July 22. The two tracks are a bit more than 100 miles apart. That's about a 45 minute drive if you drive like we drive when we're on our way to the races.
