Today we had this Pacifica towed in as a no start. We followed the diagnostic path and determined the starter has failed and needs replaced. The tech said its a ruff job and he's gonna need some snacks before going any further.

There is a common misconception about diagnostics, that it is just a matter of plugging in a scanner of your own, or even the ones provided at the parts store and the codes will tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs replaced…

Sure, you might get lucky and whatever sensor the code is set for will be fixed by replacing such sensor. But a majority of the time, that isn’t the case!
