Position available is shop helper, duties include , Washing /vacuuming cars, sweeping , cleaning up the shop, emptying trash cans,sanding and helping where ever needed in the shop. PSA. It’s looking like State Farm has changed the way they are doing things. Currently (which is new procedure in the last 2 weeks) State Farm is still trying to steer customers to “their” shops but if you are adamant and state you want to come here they are now sending the assignment over email to me and having me take pictures and send in our estimate for their review.
This is a change from them sending you the app to upload all your pictures and then write the estimate from that. Mind you they may still send you the app and have you upload but from current experiences (3 customers in 2 weeks) it’s been a stall tactic and also requiring you to come back out for us to do submit from their link on the email.
Also, I am currently seeing several insurance companies steering work to their preferred shops and away from independent shops. Just know this is an illegal practice and you, as a vehicle owner, has the right to take your vehicle to any shop of your choosing. You will not owe anything “extra” like they are trying to tell you. You will owe your deductible only.

Also to add…At this time, we have been told by customers that State Farm’s closest preferred shops are located in Nacogdoches and Marshall. Definitely not convenient if you live in this area.
