Cp4 disco party???

Yes it unfortunately happens. When the cp4 self destructs, it puts metal shavings throughout the entire fuel system. That is why a lot of people call it a disco party. Its a large repair at that point.
We can swap out your cp4 for a reliable injection pump that won't have the disaster of a failure! For 6.7l Powerstrokes we offer a S&S DCR or a SPE CP3 conversion. For the Duramax we offer a DCR and CP3 conversion also. These are bolt in replacements, no tuning required!
