The Frampton Plantation House is home to more than the SC Lowcountry Tourism Commission.

Over the years, visitors and staff have gotten to know a few of its more permanent residents. And some of them apparently have no problem making themselves known.

There’s the little girl who likes to frequent the restrooms, which were once the house’s original back porch. Staff called her Sarah, but when one visitor spoke with her, she said her name was Elizabeth.
Then there’s the gentleman who walks the stairs every day to set a clock on the wall. He never seems to stay long. Just up the stairs, set the clock, and off he goes.

The parlor has its own visitors, too. A gentleman and a lady have both been seen there, while soldiers have been spotted walking the grounds.

So yes, Frampton has plenty of history to explore. Just remember that you may not be the only ones exploring it.
