North Star Cooperative Honors Cavalier Motorcycle Ride In with $5,000 grant to City of Cavalier
CAVALIER, ND, August 18th, 2021 — The Cavalier Motorcycle Ride In, found in Cavalier, N.D., has been honored as a source of pride by North Star Cooperative and Cenex®, the energy brand of CHS. As part of this award, the cooperative will donate $5,000 to the Cavalier Motorcycle Ride In.
One weekend a year, The Cavalier Motorcycle Ride In attracts thousands of people to Cavalier, N.D. for live music, food vendors and dancing in the street. They showcase local businesses and entertainment on main street where the event takes place.
As part of the honor, the City of Cavalier received a $5,000 grant from North Star Cooperative. The city will replace the event speakers on their main street and renovate and repair buildings downtown.
“The Cavalier Motorcycle Ride In is an opportunity for the community to come together for an annual tradition," said Bella Puma, Store Manager of North Star Cooperative. “We’re proud to support an attraction that fuels our donation by giving back to charities that support our community.”
The grant was provided through an initiative that encourages Cenex dealers, retailers and distributors to share stories about what makes their local communities special. Now in its third year, the initiative has granted more than $300,000 to Cenex communities.
“The Cenex brand is committed to supporting and celebrating what makes hometowns across America special,” said Mark Vanderlinde, communications manager at CHS. “We are proud of our Cenex dealers, like North Star Cooperative, who play an active role in supporting their local organizations and the people in their community.”
