This picture was taken 43 years ago Thanksgiving weekend in Jawbone Canyon. Thats my dad starting Steve Stackable’s 465 Yamaha that Arnie Beamen arranged for him to buy from PDQ at the end of the 1980 or 81 (I dont remember which year) when the season was over.

I came across this Dirt Bike Mag from 1996. I did a test on Mike Brown’s Honda of Troy 125 after he wrapped up the East Coast title. I remember the pants were so big on me that that my mechanic Big Randy went and bought suspenders to keep them up. When I would go through whoops or land off jump they would spring up and down. The helmet was so big on me I had to stuff folded paper towels in it for extra padding. It would slip down and push the goggles down over my eyes, so over jumps I would push the helmet up with my shoulder. My pit boarder was 2 times Olympic Metalist in Figure Skating Elvis Stojko.
