As promised to our C8 RS6 customers, the Jackal team has spent the last four months letting our new TCU calibration soak with some great feedback. That being said there is a TCU Update!
With the number of software variants on these cars, we wanted real-world miles before calling it a release. Between our in-house shop car and several enthusiastic customers around the world putting these cars through drag racing, roll racing, and daily driving, we've reached the point where we're confident putting V1.1 in everyone's hands.
While we didnt test it at elevations similar to the last Space Shuttle launch... The Dragy results coming back have been enough to put a smile on our faces especially at almost 1500DA in the middle of summer. The 0-60 improvements have been substantial.
V1.1 Includes:
• Improved 3-2 and 2-1 off-throttle shift behavior
• Updated AMAX launch calibration that absolutely rips
• Additional refinements throughout the transmission calibration to improve the overall driving experience
If you're already a Jackal customer, log into the flasher and you'll see TCU V1.1 available now. While you're there, make sure you're running the latest ECU calibration as well.
As mentioned yesterday we will be releasing a new ECU file for the B9 Community, this also goes for the RS6 but less change is needed.
Next on the list? Roll racing updates. Whether they end up living in Sport Mode, Race Mode... or maybe both... you'll have to wait and see.
The current launch RPM is intentionally aggressive, and while we have had our tires sticking just fine, we might see some burning out now. Instead of having customers open support tickets for something simple, we'll be releasing launch RPM patches so you can choose a lower launch speed if that's more your style. We'll let V1.1 get some additional soak time first before those become available but its in the queue and very simple change.
The Jackal shop RS6 has handled the majority of development. We believe in owning the cars for platforms we tune so we can make them drive the way we'd want our own cars to drive.
Current shop car setup:
• Eventuri Intake
• Milltek Exhaust
• Wagner Performance Intercooler
• Factory downpipes with catalytic converters
Development on the hardware side has been moving just as quickly.
We've partnered with Power Division for our HPFP and LPFP solutions, and those systems are already here and ready to go. Spool Performance injectors are also in stock at Jackal HQ as we continue pushing toward full fueling support.
We're also testing a new brake package that we're excited about. The goal is to have a solution stocked here in the USA for all three of these solutions so our customers don't have to deal with international shipping, duties, customs delays, or any of the usual headaches.
There is still a lot coming for the C8 RS6.
so as always ~Stay Tuned.
