I was contacted by Don’s Body Shop in Murphysboro about a job opening. If you’re qualified, get ahold of them.

I’ve also had several other shops contact me in the last few weeks that are looking for experienced techs. If you’re young and trying to plan your future, or if you’re older and are looking for a new career, get ahold of us. We offer a variety of training options for Collision Repair.

We are also under construction, and will have any entirely new facility that will be twice the size of the old shop that will open next year. Once it’s done, stop by to see it all.

Here’s the International Scout project that spent some time in the shop over the last few years. I know I had some more “in the process” pics but I couldn’t find them right now. Also, due to the complete renovation of the body shop this year, after the Scout was painted, it went to a different place for final assembly. There were a few other items left to finish but it headed back to Texas last fall to the owners home where it originally started.

It’s turned out to be a beautiful day and a great car show here at Mt. Vernon Township High School. If you’re not doing anything, you still have time to come by. They’re raising money for the Auto Shop program.

Absolutely perfect day for a cruise and what better place to end up at than Mikes Drive In in West Frankfort for some burgers and their famous root b**r.

Just cruising around in the Rend Lake Water Festival Parade this morning. There was a good crowd and we got it all done before the rain started.

We had a great day. Thank you Career Center of Southern Illinois for inviting us. We talked to a lot of students that were interested in pursuing careers in skilled trades thanks to you all.

Doing a little frame work to a student’s car today. It was purchased after it had hit a guardrail and it had a bit of mash, side-sway and sag. Now it just needs a few new bolt-on parts and it will be back on the road.
