Here’s the International Scout project that spent some time in the shop over the last few years. I know I had some more “in the process” pics but I couldn’t find them right now. Also, due to the complete renovation of the body shop this year, after the Scout was painted, it went to a different place for final assembly. There were a few other items left to finish but it headed back to Texas last fall to the owners home where it originally started.

It’s turned out to be a beautiful day and a great car show here at Mt. Vernon Township High School. If you’re not doing anything, you still have time to come by. They’re raising money for the Auto Shop program.

Doing a little frame work to a student’s car today. It was purchased after it had hit a guardrail and it had a bit of mash, side-sway and sag. Now it just needs a few new bolt-on parts and it will be back on the road.

As I’ve said before, I love hearing from past students that are doing great. So here’s a student that went through the program a few years ago. Asa Champion is now at West County AutoBody in the St. Louis area. He’s been there for about 4 years now. Some of you will remember his Civic that he painted in the program here that he still has. The other pics are just some of the things he’s worked on recently at his job. Great job Asa! Thanks for sharing!

As we were preparing for the 8th grade career fair this morning at John A. Logan College, our very own Coordinator of Digital Marketing girl, Hilary, got a little paint training. We felt she needed to be on the other side of the camera for once. She might have even found another career opportunity if she needs something else to do in the future.
