Don't get so busy building a life that you forget to enjoy it. 🏝️

Between the day job, running BMS, turning wrenches, and chasing lap times, raising kids, etc., it's easy to forget what we're working so hard for.

Sometimes the best memories aren't made at 150 mph. Sometimes they're made slowing down, enjoying the view, and spending time with the people who matter most.

Work hard. Chase your dreams. But don't forget to live along the way.

Brian the Car is apparently having a case of the Monday's.

It goes into a type of limp mode (throttle doesn't work and it stays at high idle)....both times at Turn 7 oddly enough. If I turn it off and restart it then it's fine...for a while.

Intermittent issues can be tough. I suspect the throttle body or the throttle position sensor but have no way to repair either at the track today.

I did get to knock some rust off and get re-familiar with VIR but far from comfortable in this car so my best was a ~2:09.8 which isn't so great but I'm finding getting used to a car without ABS at VIR is not the easiest. I've locked up the rears at Turn 1 a couple times and I'm just not comfortable messing with the brake bias k**b just yet.

I still have a lot of work to do...both car and driver.

Today was still the best way to spend a holiday off work, building BMS, and enjoying life.

Time to load him up, go home, and build a better mousetrap.
