Koenigsegg Unveils the CCGT1: The Reborn Le Mans Legend
Koenigsegg has revealed the CCGT1, a bespoke, track-focused but road-legal hypercar constructed on the refined CC850 platform. Paying homage to the brand’s aborted 2007 Le Mans GT1 endurance racing project, the build features aggressive racing aerodynamics, an optional factory track package, and a cinematic show mode that opens all compartments in a synchronized display.
Key Specifications:
Powertrain: 1,600 hp (on E85 biofuel) or 1,280 hp (on pump gas) 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
Aerodynamics: Specialized active illuminated rear wing generating 800 kg of downforce at 250 km/h.
Transmission: 9-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST) for near-instantaneous shifts.
Production Status:
While official pricing has not been disclosed by the factory, with industry estimates hovering around $4 million, Koenigsegg confirmed that all 70 strictly limited production units sold out immediately upon the vehicle’s reveal.
