Window tint FAQs, round two 👇
We answered some of the basics, but there are still plenty of questions we hear every day. Here are a few more things to know before and after getting your vehicle tinted.
Can I wash my car after getting my windows tinted?
Yes! Washing the exterior of your vehicle won’t affect your tint since window film is installed on the inside. Just be careful when cleaning the inside of your windows while the film is still curing.
Why can’t I roll my windows down right away?
Your window film needs time to properly adhere to the glass. Rolling your windows down too soon can cause the edges of the film to peel or shift. We’ll let you know when it’s safe based on your installation.
Does window tint help protect my interior?
Yes. Quality window film can help reduce UV exposure that contributes to fading, cracking, and deterioration of your seats, dashboard, and interior surfaces.
Will window tint make it harder to see at night?
The percentage and type of film you choose matter. Going darker can reduce visibility, especially at night, which is why we’ll help you choose an option that gives you the look, privacy, and performance you want without going darker than you’re comfortable with.
How long does window tint last?
The lifespan depends on the quality of the film, installation, sun exposure, and how it’s cared for. Professionally installed, high-quality window film is designed to last for years.
Can old window tint be removed and replaced?
Absolutely. If your current tint is bubbling, peeling, faded, or you simply want something different, we can remove the existing film and replace it with a new option.
