Bothel's Mechanical Repair Bothel's Mechanical Repair Bothel's Garage was started in 1949 as an Esso gas station by Henry Walter Bothel. Stephen and Bobby are third generation!

Later it was expanded and auto repair work was undertaken by Henry's son, Walter Robert (Bob) Bothel. In the early 90's the business was divided between auto body work done by Bobby Bothel and mechanical repair work done by Stephen Bothel. We fix all makes and models of cars, most in one day or less. We are a Maine State Inspection station. All of our parts and materials exceed manufacturers requirements to keep warranties in effect.

As most of you know, we’re on our normal Mon-Thur schedule again, closed on Fridays. Andrew has thankfully, healed up really well!

Just a heads up we will be closed for some much needed vacation time the week of February 1st. ☀️☀️

We will be back in the shop Monday February 9th.

We will be wishing Steve the best as he is finishing his last week of helping us out at the shop this week. His willingness to step in and do the job only he could do has meant the world to our family and customers. He deserves a warm relaxing winter away from this tundra! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Also, Schedule update for the holidays which are almost upon us. 🎄🎄🎄 We will be open Monday through Thursday as normal this week 12/7 and next week 12/14.

We will be closed all of Christmas week and then planning to be open M-W the week of 12/28 and closed Thursday, New Year’s Day.

Thank you everyone for your support and patience this last couple weeks! Steve has been getting lots done and Andrew has also been getting creative to get some work done as well with one functioning arm. Were not surprised. 🙃

We should be open our normal Monday - Thursday this week. Andrew is seemingly doing really well and we will see how post op goes appointment this week.

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS; As Many of you may have heard this week, Andrew had an arm injury which is requiring him to have surgery tomorrow Wednesday 10/29. Steve has graciously stepped in to help us part time during this time, our family and customers can’t begin to thank him enough. 🙏🏻

This week the shop will remain open thanks to Steve through Thursday as normal. (Only a half day tomorrow, Wednesday)

Next week 11/3 we will be open only Monday and Wednesday.

We are hopeful Andrew and Stephen can tag team a part time schedule together the week of 11/10 and plan to be open the first part of the week that week.

Please bear with us while we navigate this and see how quickly Andrew is able to be back doing what he does best. We’re so grateful for everyone being so gracious and caring as we have had to rework our shop schedule and entire lives around.

I plan to update here if anything changes and once we anticipate getting back to more normal business hours again. If anyone has any questions, feel free to email us at [email protected].

We would like to wish all of our customers, friends and family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄🎄🎄

We will be closed for a holiday break from Friday December 23rd until Monday, January 2nd.

Attention customers! The shops schedule will be changing a little in the new year. Our new hours starting January 2nd will be Monday - Thursday 7am to 5pm and closed Friday - Sunday.

It is time to let you know that Stephen and Patt Bothel are fully retiring at the end of this year. It has been our honor and privilege to work with you all of these decades.
We leave you in the competent hands of Andrew and Connor in the shop and hope you will get the chance to know Andrew's wife, Rachel, who will be taking over Patt's financial duties.
