Among the many extraordinary folks who make up The Caves Community, are Veterans who dedicated their lives to serving This Great Country.

Art Hutchins and Bill McElroy, both of whom are retired Command Sergeant Majors, Army Green Beret, were part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade during Operation Hump in Vietnam.

On November 8th, 1965, their Special Forces unit was ambushed by more than 1,000 enemy soldiers, resulting in 48 U.S. service member deaths and 83 members injured. Art and Bill survived the attack and their Special Forces unit prevailed.

On November 8th, 2025, Art and Bill were honored at the Cape Coral Veteran's Parade, as they cruised in Art's 1933 Ford Woodie.

It was a special reunion, and it was our honor to help capture the moment.

To Art and Bill, and to all of our Veterans, we cannot thank you enough for your service, your commitment, and for your sacrifice.

This project features over 44,000 square feet of gated and secured, privately owned Caves on 2.5 acres, complete with an Owner’s Lounge and Wash Bay, and built with solid concrete tilt-wall construction!

We’re proud to deliver the unmatched quality The Caves are known for, thanks to the collaboration and hard work of our incredible construction partners.

We can’t wait to see our new Owners move in and create another amazing Community of Enthusiasts and Collectors!
