Some cars are valuable because they're rare.

Others are priceless because of the memories they carry.

This Wimbledon White 1964½ Mustang has been in the same family since it was purchased brand new off the showroom floor in 1964. It was bought by the grandfather, passed down through the family, and has become a part of their history.

Unfortunately, an accident left this Mustang needing more than just a few repairs. Now it's our turn to help preserve its story.

Over the coming weeks, we'll take you behind the scenes as we document the restoration process—from evaluating the damage and making structural repairs to bringing this family heirloom back to the condition it deserves.

We hope you'll follow along as we help write the next chapter in this Mustang's remarkable story.

After all... some cars are more than transportation—they're family.

How do you safely start a classic car that's been sitting for 20+ years?

The first turn of the key is one of the most exciting moments in any restoration—but it's also one of the easiest ways to damage an engine if you skip the important steps.

In this video, Carb Jeff and Will give a brief overview of the process we use before attempting that first start. There are a lot of details behind each step, but this will give you a solid roadmap of where to begin.

This is just the start of the series. We'd love to know...

👇 Which step should we dive deeper into next?
• Pulling the spark plugs?
• Priming the oil system?
• Distributor points?
• Fuel system?
• Something else?

Leave your questions in the comments, and we'll make videos covering the topics you want to see!

At Valor, we're passionate about preserving automotive history—and sharing what we've learned along the way.

Some vehicles are more than just classics—they're a piece of America's story.

This beautiful 1954 Chevrolet 3100 is ready for its next chapter, carrying with it decades of memories and craftsmanship. Every restoration is our chance to preserve history, honor the people who built these incredible machines, and ensure they'll be enjoyed for generations to come.

At Valor Restorations, we believe these trucks deserve to be Rebuilt in America.

Turn the key, hear that engine come to life, wrap your hands around the wheel, and feel the heartbeat of America rumble beneath the hood. There's nothing quite like the experience of driving a classic truck that was built to work, built to last, and built with pride.

Seeing another happy customer reunited with their classic is why we love what we do. Thank you James and Julie for trusting us with your beloved truck!

If you could take this '54 Chevy anywhere for a Sunday drive, where would you go? 👇🇺🇸

A quick peek inside the paint shop this week:

One thing we love about this business is that no two days are ever the same. We get to meet incredible people, work on some amazing cars, and help preserve pieces of automotive history.

This week, one of our beautiful cars in the paint shop was this beautiful 1973 Porsche 914 in Signal Orange. Watching these classics reach milestones like this never gets old.

Our goal has never been to simply "get the job done." It's to deliver something we're proud to put our name on. Every panel, every coat of paint, and every detail matters because these cars deserve our very best.

We're thankful every day for the customers who trust us with their classics. We don't take that responsibility lightly, and we feel incredibly fortunate to spend our days working alongside great people and some truly special automobiles.

Whether it's a Mustang that's been in the family for generations, a classic truck waiting for a second chance, or the project car you've always dreamed of finishing, we'll help get it here safely—and treat it like it's our own.

I don't know about y'all, but I am just reminiscing over one of the BEST 4th of July celebrations EVER here in Canyon Lake, TX. We hope y'all enjoyed celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence as much as we did!

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July weekend! How are y'all spending it?

If you're working on a classic this weekend, you already know how this story goes... 😅

You start with one tiny job that should take an hour, and before you know it, you've got half the car apart! We've all been there. That's just part of the restoration adventure.

What "quick fix" turned into an all-day project for you? Let us know in the comments! 👇

We are so excited to introduce, the Potato! We have found a really, remarkably unique 1964 1/2 Mustang coupe that's color is remarkably potato-ish. This car has practically zero rust but oh boy, does it have a story to tell. This car is like a time capsole. We hope this car can inspire and educate other classic car connoisseurs at home. Over the next few weeks, Valor staff is going to use The Potato to educate folks on how to start a car that hasn't run in decades, how to restore a car (inside and out), how to get this piece of history back on the road, and how to have fun doing it!
