For Manufacturing Day, on October 1st, Gil-Mar hosted students from Renaissance High School in Dearborn. Working in conjunction with SEMCA (Southeast Michigan Community Alliance) Michigan Works!, we were able to expose students to what manufacturing jobs look like in 2026 through presentations, tours and getting hands-on with real parts made for the automotive industry. We at Gil-Mar truly enjoy meeting students and giving them the opportunity to experience manufacturing first hand, opening the door to possible future career paths.

Gil-Mar Manufacturing is excited to once again participate in Manufacturing Day. On October 1st, we will be hosting students from Rennaissance High School from Dearborn.

Manufacturing Day (MFG Day), the largest annual event to promote manufacturing in the United States, helps show the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders.

Working with Wayne County MFG Day allows us to directly encourage youth to pursue the skills needed to qualify for long-term, rewarding careers in this secure and growing sector of the economy.
