WD Hot Blocks LLC was started in 2007 as an extension of Watson Diesel Inc, when our shop began building vacuum trucks for the Marcellus Shale Gas Play in Northeast Pennsylvania. Working in brutal winter conditions, our customers faced a constant issue: freezing valves.
At the time, the only solution available was coolant-heated jackets that tied into the engine’s cooling system. As diesel engine rebuilders with decades of experience, we knew firsthand the risks—long coolant hose runs, added liability, and inconsistent cab heat caused by robbing heat from the driver.
So we went back to what we know best.
With 35+ years in the diesel industry, combined with technology borrowed from our friends in the aviation industry—where keeping components from freezing at altitude is critical year-round—we developed a better solution.
