I finally got out for a water test with this 115 Evinrude. We've had a lot of heavy rain and storms here recently and the lake is full of logs and sucks. This one got all four carbs rebuilt,a complete water pump kit,new gearcase seals and some other things as needed.

You can advance the throttle on Mercury EFI engines if needed, especially on cold days or after the boat has sat all winter. This doesn't apply to Optimax engines. Only the EFI models. Note: starting an Optimax engine with the throttle advanced will immediately cause a continuous warning horn to sound. Again, this is for EFI engines only

Important information on this OMC ignition switch. They can also be found on Etec engines. As always, only use an OEM lanyard! The aftermarket replacements are junk and will not work properly. Without the lanyard clip installed, you will have a lot of trouble starting the engine cold.
