I had a couple of wheels that had some curb rash on them and the cost to replace was outrageous. I reached out to Alex at Alloy wheel repair specialists to see if a repair was possible. He brought his equipment to me and knocked it out of the park. I am very peticular and have an eye for these type of things, and in all honesty, I can't tell where the damage was. Super nice guy, very affordable pricing and impressive quality.

A couple weeks ago, we went to La Crosse, WI. While we were there, we made a stop at the Dahl Auto Museum. Definitely worth the stop if you find yourself in La Crosse! Here's some info from their site:
"The Dahl Auto Museum in La Crosse, Wisconsin, showcases the history of the automobile through the lens of the Dahl family's five generations in the Ford business, featuring about 20 classic and antique cars, a Ford mascot collection, and a tribute to the Starlite Drive-in Theatre. It highlights the Dahl Automotive family's history with Ford since 1911, with exhibits ranging from early horseless carriages to muscle cars, and includes educational components for groups."

It might be difficult to see what's going on here. The fender, door and quarter had a severe crown to them. It was something I couldn't let go. To steal a term from Derek Hall,, it looked like a banana. Well, the banana has been removed. And this 70 mustang will end up yellow when painted, so, no bananas wanted.

Im really excited about the newest addition to the tool box. What you see here is a metal shrinking disc. Its used to even out high spots in sheetmetal and to shrink metal that has been over worked or stretched. I spoke with Mike from cornfield customs and he had one shipped out the same day. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable with anything fabrication related. He took the time to answer my many questions. Thanks Mike! I cant wait to put it to use

One step along the way that can easily get overlooked, but it's just as important as any other, is fitting the small parts. This is true when using original parts but becomes very important when using reproduction parts.

These fender extensions and quarter panel extensions on this 1970 mustang didn't fit great and needed a little tweaking of the sheetmetal to get them dialed in.

I'm very pleased with how this rubberseal medallion hot rod black turned out. Its such a good product for engine compartment, back sides of hoods and really anything that calls for a satin finish
