Update on the 63 Chevy C10 project. This is a project that required a few steps backwards before we could move forward. We are making some headway and starting to build it back up. The doors have new skins welded into place. The back panel of the cab is getting some new metal welded in and the floor is starting to resemble a solid piece again. Nick has been doing a great job rebuilding everything. He certainly knows his trucks

When we bring these classic vehicles back to life, it’s usually for one of two reasons: the pure enjoyment of the driving experience, or the opportunity to relive a time in our lives when a particular vehicle holds a special memory.

Other times, we build these cars to a level of detail and authenticity with the hope that they will earn awards and recognition.

This beautifully restored 1972 Trans Am is one of those special projects that I was privileged to be a part of. Having a vehicle judged and scrutinized after investing hundreds, if not thousands, of hours into its restoration can be a little nerve-racking. But when everything comes together and the hard work is recognized, it makes every hour worthwhile.

To see a vehicle I had the opportunity to work on receive such recognition from a group of like-minded enthusiasts at the Trans Am Nationals is truly an honor.

It’s moments like this that remind us why we love bringing these cars back to life.

When it comes to these classic vehicles, things are not always as they seem. This can be especially true when they have been worked on or "repaired" at any point in their past. These are examples of rust hidden under previous repairs. We will get this 63 chevy back into the condition it deserves as its an easy repair with some sandblasting and new sheetmetal welded into place rather than the pop rivets and glue that was previous used

I had a couple of wheels that had some curb rash on them and the cost to replace was outrageous. I reached out to Alex at Alloy wheel repair specialists to see if a repair was possible. He brought his equipment to me and knocked it out of the park. I am very peticular and have an eye for these type of things, and in all honesty, I can't tell where the damage was. Super nice guy, very affordable pricing and impressive quality.
