This is our last project and it is one of our cars. It's a 1963 VW beetle with sliding roof that will be perfect for some lucky buyer when we are done. It will be ready to enjoy or show when we are done. I'll post more photos as it moves along.

We had a great time restoring cars for many years but all things come to an end and it's our turn to move on. I'm going to leave this FB page up so all of you who like us have cars in your blood can continue to enjoy the photos.
I'm a father and grandfather so most of my life is in the rear view mirror - but I'm not done yet! I wrote two books that are getting 5-star reviews one Amazon. IS ETERNITY ALREADY HERE? is about my lifelong journey to explore the human physical and spiritual relationship. Reviewer comments include ..."you will be in awe after reading this book...I was never so inspired from reading the Bible,,," The other is a book of 226 inspirational verses written back in the 70s. One reviewer commented - "these poems had to be inspired by God and I believe they will inspire people for generations to come."
Anyway, time to move along now and do my share to bring some love and inspiration into our hurting world. Thanks for being with us and sharing the car journey! Blessings to all of you!

I thought we'd be moving on to other projects but classic cars just seem to find us. Here's the last one that showed up - a Pontiac TransAm. Body parts came from one place, rebuilt motor is on its way from another. We get to take it all down to metal, paint, install the motor and reassemble it.

One of our cars was featured in this music video at the recent Billboard Awards. Ours is red but they removed all of the license plates so we can't identify which one is ours. It is quite creative, like one of those swimming ballets except with cars as the producer described it to me. Hope you enjoy it!

1971 BMW 2800 CS
This car was converted to a 5 speed and the motor upgraded with Webbers. It was completely disassembled with doors, hood, trunk and suspensions removed. It has all new leather, wood, carpets, and a new tool box with re-plated tools. The motor had been rebuilt earlier and was so good, as Carl at La Jolla reported the compressions are all over 160. The motor purrs, the tr**ny is smooth as silk and it drives great.

1989 560SL Mercedes
This is a very well kept car and that's the original paint. Everything works great. Motor runs strong , timing work done, AC blows really cold. A friend moved out of the country and asked us to take care of it for him.

This 4 speed, 4WD Scout II was in great shape to start with. There was absolutely no rust. Look at the floors in the photos. That's the original factory paint in the interior - we just gave it a coat of clear for added protection before installing new carpets.
The seats were re-done as were the door panels and the headliner.
We rebuilt the 345 motor and did not like the idea of a carb so installed a self adjusting EFI system. It originally came with AC from the factory but we installed a completely new AC system.
It has an 8 inch lift and all terrain tires. This was a fun project for us to do. We had to do some hunting to find all the parts we needed, but it is done now and ready to do what it was designed for - take you to some fun places off-road.
