I'm at Stellantis' Unstoppable Tour in St Louis today, looking at the new model changes. I just compared the redesigned Cherokee on a driving course to the Honda Cr-v and Hyundai Tucson. Hopping out of the Cherokee and into the competitors vehicles its amazing how much they nose dive when braking and lean when you're in a tight turn. The Cherokee just maintains it's stance, it feels safer, and it's responses are more predictable in unusual situations. The Cherokee also absorbed the impact of uneven surfaces much better. There was a noticeable thump from the Honda and Hyundai when running over a piece of rope on the track, the Cherokee registered a bit of feedback from the debris but no noise and the ride remained smooth.
