Okay, we want to see those Halloween costumes!

Rocktober Fest is getting a little spookier this year, and we’re inviting the whole community to join the fun! Whether you’re dressing up your little ones, planning an epic costume of your own, or getting your furry friend in on the action, we’ve got a contest for you!

Three contests (we want to see your creativity!) and prizes up for grabs!

🎃 Kids Costume Contest — We can’t wait to see what our little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and princesses come up with!

💀 Adult Costume Contest — It’s your turn to get creative! Go spooky, silly, or all-out over the top.

🐾 Pet Costume Contest — Because our four-legged friends deserve to join the Halloween fun, too!

🎃🎶 A little trick-or-treating, a little live music, and a meaningful piece of local history!

Join us downtown on Friday, October 30, for two special events happening side by side!

🍬 Trick or Treat Main Street
Bring the little ones downtown from 4–6 PM for our annual Halloween tradition! Enjoy an afternoon of trick-or-treating with participating downtown businesses and a little extra Halloween fun along the way. Sponsored by Kerry!

🎤 Legacy Concert at the Historic Depot
While you're downtown Friday, stop by the newly renovated Depot Plaza for a special concert hosted by the Gordon County Civic Club. Featuring live performances by local artists and special guests, this event commemorates the 60th anniversary of the desegregation of schools in Calhoun and Gordon County.

A Community Carnival will follow on Saturday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at the McConnell Community Center (115 McConnell Road).

Two special gatherings, one downtown destination, and an opportunity to celebrate community, enjoy local traditions, and reflect on our shared history. ❤️

With Rocktober Fest postponed, we’re looking ahead to all the fun still to come! From fall festivities and holiday traditions to the first signs of spring, there’s always a reason to make plans downtown.

⚠️EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT⚠️

🌧️ Well, we've been rocked by the weather!

After meeting with public safety officials and closely monitoring the forecast for the approaching hurricane, we've made the difficult decision to cancel Rocktober Fest this Saturday, October 10th.

While we hope for the best, there's still too much uncertainty surrounding the forecast, particularly the potential for dangerous winds. With hundreds of vendor tents, inflatables, food trucks, event equipment, a stage, and thousands of people expected downtown, the risks are simply too great. Even if we avoid the worst-case scenario, we have to consider what those wind conditions could mean for the safety of our vendors, attendees, and community.

As much as we hate to miss out on Saturday's fun, safety has to come first.

🎸 The good news? We're working to bring Rocktober Fest back on Saturday, October 24th! This new date is pending GDOT permit approval, and we'll share confirmation as soon as we can.

Thank you to our sponsors, vendors, downtown businesses, staff, and community for all the time and effort you've put into preparing for this event. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we navigate this unexpected change.
