☀️ Did You Know? Summer Heat Can Be Harder on Your Car Battery Than Winter Cold

Most people expect battery problems in the winter… but extreme heat can actually shorten your battery’s lifespan faster.

Here’s why:

🔋 Heat causes battery fluid to evaporate faster
⚡ High temperatures can damage internal battery components
🚗 Extra strain from running the A/C can increase battery demand

Common signs your battery may be struggling:
✔ Slow engine cranking
✔ Dim headlights
✔ Electrical issues
✔ Needing frequent jump starts

In Oklahoma and Texas heat, batteries often fail with very little warning.

👇 Have you ever had a battery die at the worst possible time?

🚨 3 Signs Your Brakes May Need Attention 🚨

Your brakes are one of the most important safety systems on your vehicle — and they usually give warning signs before becoming a major problem.

Here are 3 common signs to watch for:

🔊 1. Squeaking or Grinding Sounds
A high-pitched squeal can mean your brake pads are getting worn down. Grinding noises may mean the pads are completely worn and metal is contacting metal.

🚗 2. Vibrating When You Brake
If your steering wheel or brake pedal shakes while stopping, your brake rotors may be warped.

⚠️ 3. Your Car Takes Longer to Stop
If braking feels “soft,” spongy, or less responsive than normal, don’t ignore it. That can indicate worn brakes or even a brake fluid issue.

Catching brake problems early can help prevent more expensive repairs later — and keep you safer on the road.

At A-1 Service and Repair, we always recommend paying attention to the small warning signs before they become big repairs. It is always best to get it looked at asap. Better safe than sorry.

One of the most common causes of expensive engine damage starts with something small: skipping oil changes.

Over time, old oil breaks down and loses its ability to properly lubricate your engine. That can lead to:
🔧 Increased engine wear
🔥 Overheating
💨 Reduced fuel efficiency
💸 Major repair costs down the road

A simple maintenance routine can help your vehicle last significantly longer and save you money in the long run.

Here’s a quick rule of thumb:
✔ Conventional oil: every 3,000–5,000 miles
✔ Synthetic oil: every 5,000–8,000 miles
(Always check your owner’s manual for your specific vehicle.)
