Operation Veterans Campout Update 🏕️

After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Operation Campout.

With the extreme heat, ongoing smoke, and nearby wildfire activity, we want to make sure we’re putting the safety and experience of our Recon community first. These are conditions we simply can’t control, and we’d rather make the call now than move forward with an event that isn’t the experience we want to provide.

We know many of you were looking forward to getting outside, camping, and spending the weekend together, and we were too.

This isn’t the end of Operation Veterans Campout or our community events. We have plenty more adventures ahead, and we’re already looking forward to getting everyone together again when the conditions are right.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and for being part of the Recon community. We’ll see you on the next adventure! 🏕️

🚙 Trail Tip Tuesday

One of the highlights from Trail Blazing Ladies was learning practical first aid skills that could make a real difference on the trail.

This week's trail tip shows how an inflatable backpacking sleeping pad can be used as a temporary splint to help stabilize a suspected leg injury until professional medical care is available. It's a great reminder that the gear you already carry can serve more than one purpose.

A huge thank you to Maddie Arduesser for doing an incredible job as our MC and helping make the day such a success.
We also want to extend a BIG thank you to Kristina Schmid and EmpowHer Outdoors for sharing valuable first aid knowledge and practical trail safety tips!

To everyone who spent their Saturday with us, thank you for making the very first Trail Blazing Ladies such an unforgettable event.

Watching women build confidence, learn new skills, ask questions, and connect with one another is exactly what this event was all about, and seeing our off-road community come together made the day even more special.

A heartfelt thank you to every attendee, volunteer, speaker, sponsor, and vendor who helped make this event a success. We couldn't have done it without you.

Fire season is hitting closer to home this year.

We believe community is about showing up when our neighbors need us most.

Many families, first responders, and communities across Idaho are feeling the impact of this fire season. While we can't stop the fires, we can come together to support those working through them.

We're serving as a collection site for essential items to help local fire relief efforts. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference.

One of the most underrated pieces of gear on any adventure? A quality cooler.

Whether you're packing lunch for a day on the trail or enough food for a weekend at camp, a good cooler keeps everyone fueled, hydrated, and ready for the next mile.

💡 Pro Tip: Freeze a few water bottles before your trip. They'll help keep everything cold, and you'll have ice-cold drinking water as they thaw.
