I was talking with a local guy last night about doing an end of summer cruise to send off a great year of Mazda shenanigans. This is a first for Mazda HQ, as the past decade has been one big eventful weekend.

We would love to see anyone that can make it come out for one last blast before winter locks us down from having any fun.

We have a route in mind, and its a big one. The date the cruise will take place on is September 26th, one week after the official end of summer.

I look forward to seeing everyone for the Last Blast cruise!

Tomorrow is day 1 of the event. Which for most attending from out of state is a travel day. Some are even heading in to the event today. Safe travels everyone. Can't wait to see everyone!

It is officially Takeover week. The weekend will be coming at us fast. Expect temps to be in the mid 80's during the weekend with cold nights in the 40's and 50's. Camping is always encouraged.

Thursday is the typical arrival shenanigans.

Friday is looking like a pew pew range day with a BBQ in the evening. Saturday cruise and drag racing.

Well, it looks like the weather is gonna weather on us for Takeover. Thank god for the AC unit in the garage. Working on a mist set up as well. Showing close to 90 most all weekend.

Preliminary weather forecast for Thursday June 4th. The opening day of the event shows mid to upper 70's. Fingers crossed we keep that absolutely gorgeous weather forecast through the entire weekend.

Friday June 5th is cruise day. We will figure out a route the day of the cruise. Planning on an 11-noon departure.

HQ weekend is getting closer! Porta John is ordered, stickers are getting made. We are so close thanks to the help of some amazing people who stepped up to help with donations!

Well, this has gotten spicy. I have 3 people wanting to donate to the Mazda HQ "relief" effort. So, for those who want to rest in the restroom, you can venmo me -eggert. Let's keep it simple at $100 per donation for the porta John rental. Should only need $300-$400 dollars to get one on site. If we come up short, I will reach out to see what is needed to complete the cost of the rental.
