NOW HIRING – MEDIUM / HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC / TECHNICIAN 🔧

We are growing our fleet repair operation and taking on additional customers with medium and heavy-duty trucks. We are looking for a dependable, mechanically minded Medium / Heavy Duty Mechanic or Technician to join our team.
We are not necessarily looking for someone who knows everything. We ARE looking for someone with a good mechanical foundation, common sense, a willingness to work, and general knowledge of medium and heavy-duty trucks.
WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON:
Our shop services a wide variety of medium and heavy-duty equipment from current 2026 models all the way back to trucks from the 1980s. No two days are the same.
Work may include:
🔧 Routine maintenance and preventive maintenance
🔧 Medium and heavy-duty truck repair
🔧 Diesel engine diagnosis and repair
🔧 Computer diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting
🔧 Drivetrain, differential and driveline repair
🔧 Brake, wheel bearing, hub and suspension work
🔧 Heavy-duty tire mounting and balancing
🔧 Road service and emergency repairs
🔧 Assisting with heavy-duty towing and recovery operations when needed
HEAVY-DUTY TIRE WORK
We have our own heavy-duty tire machine and digital wheel balancer and maintain an inventory of wheels and tires for both our fleet and our customers.
We prefer to have replacement assemblies mounted, balanced and ready to go before they are needed, so tire and wheel work will be a regular part of this position.
KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO
Our customers don't all operate brand-new trucks.
Some days you may be diagnosing electronics on a newer truck. The next day you may be underneath a 25-year-old truck fighting rust, grease, broken bolts and years of hard use.
This can be a dirty job. It can be physically demanding. Some days can be exhausting.
That is simply the reality of maintaining working medium and heavy-duty fleets.
We want someone who understands that environment and takes satisfaction in figuring out the problem and getting the truck back to work.
THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You may be a good fit if you:
• Have experience working around medium or heavy-duty trucks
• Have a solid basic mechanical skill set
• Understand diesel and drivetrain systems
• Are comfortable using diagnostic equipment or willing to learn
• Can troubleshoot instead of simply replacing parts
• Have good mechanical common sense
• Can show up consistently and work a normal scheduled shift
• Are willing to occasionally handle road-service calls
• Can work independently when necessary
• Are willing to assist our heavy-duty recovery crew when needed
• Take pride in doing a repair correctly
Your own tools are preferred, but NOT having a complete tool set is not a deal breaker.
We are more interested in finding someone with the right mechanical ability, attitude, dependability and willingness to learn.
This is an opportunity to work in an environment where you can gain experience in fleet maintenance, diesel repair, computer diagnostics, heavy-duty tires, road service, towing and heavy recovery operations.
