I'm not sure if any of you have been paying attention to things but CDL schools are getting shut down all over the place for some kind of infraction. It's mostly record keeping items but the DOT and VA are deathly serious about this stuff. Pinnacle has passed both with flying colors and we're very proud of that! We're also aware that Joie Kennard made sure that we were good. I just wanted to point out that when she says "we can't do it that way" she's not being obstinate. She protecting Pinnacle like mother bear. Maybe say thank you for a job well done the next time you see her!

Freedom Haulers, as I understand things, extends the "eligibility time" to sign up for a CDL (if your MOS qualified you for this) from 12 months to 24 months to sign up. This means that if you qualify then you don't need to take a CDL training class to get a CDL. It sounds great until you try to get a job. Just because you have a brand new CDL-A doesn't mean that a company will hire you. It's been our experience that they will not! It simply means that there is a difference between the vehicles that the military drives and those that civilians drive and the rules are different. The good news is this....we can take ALL of that military experience and turn that into civilian knowledge so you can benefit from a custom course at a lower cost. It may even be covered, check your VA benefits for details. Freedom Haulers...I like the name!

We've been to a bunch of job fairs but this one was about the biggest and most vibrant that we've been too. This was Four Winn's, RBH, GB, whatever.....it doesn't matter who they are because they are no more. ALL of this talent in one room looking for a new place to call home. I did notice that much of the workforce has been there 25-30 years. They have friends and families there. There are generational employees here! Here's what I will say to all of you who have been hit hard by this (because I've been there)...Maybe truck driving isn't what you thought you would be doing at this stage of life but here we are. Call us and ask questions. Driving a truck isn't aways about being gone from home. To be honest, you'll probably make more money driving a truck than you did working here. For all of you in your 50's, use this opportunity to bump up those soon to be social security payments. See the country on somebody else's money, pay off your home before you retire, buy that pontoon that the wife says you can't afford....yet! I know this sucks but Pinnacle is offering an opportunity for you to actually make a change. Yes, it's not the same as where you thought you would retire but it's pretty good and it probably pays better! Give us a call or stop in. The position is for a delivery driver/ warehouse worker. This consists of delivering building materials to the customer’s job site. Good afternoon America! I've been so busy that I forgot that it is the 250th birthday of the absolute greatest place to live in the entire world...that's just my opinon. I don't think there's actually scientific data to back this up. I'm not talking about the idiots who run this place. I'm talking about Americans who live here. What is an American? That's for somebody else to decide. I'm talking about every single one of you crazy, three fingered, camo tee shirt wearing, Up North lunatics. For one damn day, put your crap aside and grab a redneck and tell them "Happy Birthday, America". Blow some stuff up and love this place we call home. Part of the World Cup was held in Boston and the Brits had no hard feelings. The Scots took out a billboard and complimented us on our drinking skills. America, Americans, won the hearts of the world. Kudos to us! WE are great! You be you and quit telling me how wrong I believe and I'll do the same for just one damn day! Let's all start there. WE are better than our leaders. WE are the backbone of this great experiment in democracy. WE are America!

PS...WE (Pinnacle) are STILL here and still doing great things too!

Good morning everyone, Things are always changing around here but, fortunately, not our mission! We just want you to succeed. I could write all sorts of flowery words that would make a poet cry, but why? I'm just here to tell you that we can help. Being a professional truck driver might have been a far off dream but, for some of you, it's all to real right now. Here's the pure truth about this industry....First and foremost, it's still a job. You will have a boss and stuff you don't like about it. Second...the big money is away from home. If you can travel then it can pay six figures...easy! If travel isn't your thing then there are great regional companies like logging, LP, alcohol delivery (you might not be old enough to drink it but you can get paid well to deliver it!). It isn't the huge money as the OTR drivers but it probably pays better than the last job that you just lost and those OTR guys don't get home every night. There are trade offs in this life. It all pays well but the big money comes with sacrifice and only YOU know where that line is for you. There's been a big shake up here in Cadillac and lots of people will be out of work soon. Some of you can't take the summer off. YOU need a job NOW! If you're part of this closing then give us a call to discuss if we're right for your next steps. Yes, we get paid to train you but also yes, you have to get trained someplace and we are very good at it. As one who has been in your position, Pinnacle will give you a "this sucks" discount so you can get back out there making money. In all seriousness, God answers prayers in the most unlikely ways. I'm really hoping that my bad news today has meaning and that it ends up better for His glory. We wish the same for you! Call us, we can help,
