Damn, it's been 9 years since you've been gone dad. Doesn't feel like it. The year has been off to a crappy start and now this today. Still think about you alot and occasionally people I bump can't believe he's been gone this long. Just keep working through the day as you would do dad. Next year I'd like to get together with a few of his friends just have a drink and talk about him. Remember all those good and crazy times we all had!!

Today I got a nice surprise at work. I received my Chassis Master plaque and coin today from Ford! I was one of 560 techs in the NY training area to receive this. Been working at the dealership for 5 years now. I still have a ways to go before Senior Master. I have a few more classes before becoming Driveline Master and EV Master. As much as the auto industry has been so all over the place this year, this is nice to see that they do show appreciation to the guys that put time into the business. Getting something like today, I wish I could show my father and talk about it.

When your the old car guy at work, people know!!! Yes I work on new Fords all day but there's nothing like working on older carb vehicles. Today at work manger asked if I would be interested in this old Holley carb. I ask what do you want for it, his reply was take it. He's had it for very long time and hated to just toss it. He said he was going to put it on a 68 Mustang that he owned back in the day. I'm guessing its from the late 60s - early 70s, haven't checked the casting numbers yet. So I'll clean it, rebuild and have it ready for something. The only thing I found so far is that the choke blade is frozen.

Well today the old 77 LTD II went to a new home. Its not getting the resto or fix it up treatment. Its going to save another car thats being restored, 1979 Ranchero. Friends of mine bought the car. They found out the hard way that parts for 77-79 Ford Ranchero/LTD II and others that use this platform, are pretty hard to find. So they are cutting it up for their 79 and maybe an engine swap for another old 60s Ford the guys own.

Here's a great memory that popped up today! What could of been on a daily basis leaving work, me, my buddy Hudson and my dad's 62 Ford wagon, 6 years ago. Leaving Vans Auto on a Saturday probably and Tracy snapped this great pic!! Just seeing this pic makes me think of my dad more so much. I love seeing pics of this wagon pop up, I never got a chance to get this car after thingschanged. It was sold to a "friend" and I almost had him give it to me but he changed his mind. How family and life goes, promised things and get shafted in the end.

Happy 4th of July everyone!!! First cruise out with the 59 today!!! This car has been sitting for a few years and yes its been neglected but couple weeks ago I fixed the brakes in it finally. Tracy and I are out today taking the backroads cruising around! Stopped for lunch at Pennings Farm Warwick NY. Feels good to get this car out again!

Happy Father's Day!!
First test drive with the 59 today!! Runs, drives, shifts and STOPS NOW! Took it out for a few laps around the garage, then Tracy and I went out for alittle cruise. Felt good to be behind the wheel of this boat!! Weather was crappy out today so maybe if it ever stops raining, I'll take it for a weekend run around.

Today has been a good day so far! Started my birthday with working on the 59 brakes again. Good thing I ordered rear cylinders because the left rear was frozen and gunked up! Surprisingly the right rear was in perfect shape. Got them swapped out and bleed/flushed out with the help my wife. WE HAVE BRAKES AGAIN! Dropped the battery in, did a quick light check and everything is working too! Waiting on fuel filters and we should be good to go cruising tomorrow.
