RaceLogic registration is open for this years class. Contact Brian Littleton to confirm your seat in the 2021 Metric SS class, yes we briefly talk over leaf springs and and how to set and adjust, if and only depending if we have the need to discuss. We have as lot of new information for this years class, from spring load, vs wheel rate load. Standard spring setups vs Bump stop/bump spring setup, the setup procedures and the proper steps to take while tuning for driver and track conditions. Some things we have really been focusing on lately that we will explain and demonstrate on the class car, is dynamic positive and negative wheel rate, per caster, camber, droop, and wheel spacing/offsets. There will also be standard procedures to establish a good square starting point in the Front and rear of your chassis. The front end segment will include, caster, camber, bump-steer, anti dive, wheel track, and squaring your steering sector. We will be using and also have Dave Hammond showing step by step procedures with his extremely racer friendly setup plates, caster/camber gauges, and plumb bob kits. Between Ben Baker, Wade Cross, Robby Bilbrey , the shock segment will be a must to see in person for questions-answers. They go over the different piston designs and style shims, how to read valving and understanding how to tune with shocks per driver and track conditions. Brakes will have some added flavor this year SS we have really been focusing on our brake system this year. The engine compartment, and proper cooling tips and proper procedures to endure peek performance. I personally think Aero will be something we focus on that is extremely misleading in SS and the speeds we achieve at these times. Stock cars may be called stock, what is stock when it comes to winning races? From go Karts to Formula one, nothing can be over looked or expressed to it’s fullest potential. I want to personally Thank everyone involved and everyone who has attended and kept these classes at the top year in and year out. I’m looking forward to this class and 2021 so much that I wish I could hit fast forward.
