This week we had a presentation from Vanessa Boyd, Fraud Investigative Manager at Peoples Bank.

She highlighted the high cost of fraud and the primary methods that scammers use.

Many scams start with emails which impersonate others or imply trustworthiness.

A technique often used by fraudsters is to increase the sense of urgency and request us to make a quick decision.
