This photo was taken at Sunday’s car meet shortly before the accident. One thing many people don’t see is that we’re actively trying to build a better relationship between the local car community and law enforcement.

The goal has never been to promote reckless driving or illegal street racing. Our goal is to bring enthusiasts together in a positive environment, encourage responsible behavior, and create open communication with our community and local police.

What happened Sunday was unfortunate, and our thoughts are with everyone affected. Incidents like this are exactly why many of us believe there needs to be a safe, legal outlet for automotive enthusiasts.

The majority of car enthusiasts are hardworking people who simply enjoy building, restoring, and enjoying their vehicles. We want to continue working toward solutions that improve safety while keeping our local car community connected and accountable.

🏁 BULLHEAD CITY NEEDS A PERMANENT DRAG STRIP! 🏁

This effort is being organized through The KAR Shop, and we’re looking to bring together the automotive community, local businesses, property owners, and city leaders to explore the possibility of developing a permanent drag strip or motorsports facility right here in Bullhead City.

To be clear, we’re not looking for a temporary event that happens once a month or a few times a year. We’re looking for a dedicated facility that racers, car enthusiasts, motorcycle riders, and automotive fans can use on a regular basis without having to travel hundreds of miles or resort to racing on public roads.

A permanent motorsports facility could:

✅ Provide a safe and controlled environment for racing
✅ Help reduce illegal street racing and highway racing
✅ Create jobs and bring tourism to Bullhead City
✅ Support local businesses and the local economy
✅ Give young enthusiasts a positive outlet for their passion
✅ Host car shows, race nights, and community events
✅ Provide a place the community can return to year-round

Bullhead City has a large automotive community. We believe it’s time to start a serious conversation about creating a permanent home for motorsports in our area.
