Pay: DOE (Depends on Experience)

The KAR Shop is looking for an experienced automotive technician to join our growing team. We need someone who can work independently, diagnose problems accurately, and perform quality repairs on a wide variety of vehicles.

Responsibilities:

* Engine diagnostics and repair
* Suspension and steering repair
* Brake system service and repair
* Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
* Heating and A/C repair
* Cooling system service
* Drivability diagnostics
* Transmission and drivetrain service
* General maintenance and inspections
* Welding and fabrication experience is a plus

Requirements:

* Must have your own tools
* Strong diagnostic abilities
* Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
* Valid driver’s license
* Reliable transportation
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic

This photo was taken at Sunday’s car meet shortly before the accident. One thing many people don’t see is that we’re actively trying to build a better relationship between the local car community and law enforcement.

The goal has never been to promote reckless driving or illegal street racing. Our goal is to bring enthusiasts together in a positive environment, encourage responsible behavior, and create open communication with our community and local police.

What happened Sunday was unfortunate, and our thoughts are with everyone affected. Incidents like this are exactly why many of us believe there needs to be a safe, legal outlet for automotive enthusiasts.

The majority of car enthusiasts are hardworking people who simply enjoy building, restoring, and enjoying their vehicles. We want to continue working toward solutions that improve safety while keeping our local car community connected and accountable.
