Not all window tint is created equal.
This homeowner was experiencing peeling film and disappointing performance from a previous installation. Once we started removing it, the problem became clear—the film had been installed in multiple pieces and appeared to be an automotive film being used on residential glass.
When it comes to homes and commercial buildings, using the right film matters. Automotive films and some high-absorption ceramic films are designed for vehicles and may not be appropriate for certain types of architectural glass. In some cases, using the wrong film can even increase the risk of glass stress and failure.
We removed the old film and replaced it with LLumar DR35, a film specifically designed for residential and commercial glass. The result: improved heat rejection, reduced glare, excellent clarity, and a solution built for the application.
If you’re considering window film for your home or business, make sure you’re hiring a company that specializes in architectural window films—not just automotive tint.
