Here it is—our vision of the ultimate BMW E36 M3 Touring. If BMW had ever built one themselves, this is what it could have looked like… only better.
Finished in iconic Boston Green and delivered from the factory as a true slicktop (no sunroof), this wagon started life in Europe and was later imported to the U.S. with the help of our friends at Import German Old Timers. From there, the transformation began.
Power comes from a 333hp S54 inline-six out of an E46 M3, enhanced with headers, a full exhaust, and a Gruppe M intake for all the right noises. The build was completed in partnership with Lin’s Specialty Automotive, and absolutely no detail was overlooked—mechanically or cosmetically.
The result is a Touring that’s as refined as it is raw. The underside is spotless, the fit and finish are factory-quality, and every modern comfort remains intact—A/C, heat, power steering, and electronics all function as they should.
This M3 Touring tribute is comprehensively documented with receipts, records, and hundreds of build photos, giving the next caretaker full confidence in the process as well as the product.
