Walt's Garage and Muffler Shop

Walt's Garage and Muffler Shop Complete Automotive repair -Specializing in Custom Exhaust Somewhere in the late 30's and early 40's my father and step grandfather started S&W Garage.

History of Walt's Garage
To let people know this is the best of my knowledge and what I can find in old papers and knowledge that my dad (George Walter Williams better known as Walt) told me on how it started. Around 1942 my father went to war (WWII). When he returned he changed his name to George Walter Stodghill. The name of the business was then changed to S&S Garage. Sometime in the early 50's

Walt (my father) changed it to Walt's garage. Which is what it remains today. My dad married my mom in 1959. Then in May of 1960 my brother was born and in August of 1963 I was born. There are many things I wished I had asked them all before they passed away. In January of 1984 I came into the business full time. I can't believe 29 years have passed. In 1987 I added the muffler shop to the business. I can't believe how its grown. I now do in a day what my dad and I did in a week. I reflect back some of the things I have gotten to do and see, and the people that I have gotten to meet and become friends with along the way. The kids that I have watched grow up. They would come into my shop with their parents and are now coming in for their own vehicles to be worked on. Many whom I have come to know and have come to be very proud of. Including my own children, whom I am very blessed to have in my life. Its great to see the kids that started in my shop. I got the privilege of teaching them some of the secrets my father taught me. That includes my son, Tony, who has now become a great technician himself and am blessed to have working beside me. I am very proud of my family and my life's work. I hope I show that to all my family, friends, and customers.
