COOLER WEATHER IS COMING (Do you feel it this morning?)… IS YOUR CAR READY?

We all love that first cool morning when we can finally turn OFF the A/C and enjoy a little fresh air!

Before those cooler temperatures settle in, here are a few things you should have checked:

🔋 BATTERY: Cooler temperatures can expose a weak battery. Don't wait until your car won't start!

🛞 TIRES: Tire pressure drops as temperatures fall. Low pressure can affect handling, tire wear, and fuel economy.

💧 COOLANT: It's not just for keeping your engine cool in the summer! Proper coolant protects your engine when temperatures drop, too.

🛑 BRAKES: Wet roads, changing weather, and unexpected stops make properly functioning brakes especially important.

🌧️ WIPERS & LIGHTS: Shorter days and fall rain mean you need good visibility!

🔥 HEATER & DEFROSTER: Make sure they're working BEFORE that first cold morning when you really need them.

🚗 BELTS & HOSES: Temperature changes can make existing wear and cracks more noticeable.

A little preventative maintenance TODAY can help you avoid a BIG repair bill TOMORROW!

⭐ CELEBRATING ONE YEAR! ⭐

Wow, what a year it has been! 🎉

One year ago, we took over Quick Brakes from Chris and Todd and began a new chapter as North Star Automotive – Buchanan. We had a vision of building something special, but we knew we couldn't do it without the trust and support of this incredible community.

And let me tell you, the Buchanan Dam and Lake Buchanan communities have been absolutely amazing!

Over the past year, we've had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, build new relationships, reconnect with familiar faces, and earn the trust of customers who have become more like friends and family.

To everyone who has trusted us with their vehicles, recommended us to a friend or neighbor, left us a review, or simply stopped by to say hello, THANK YOU! Your support means more to us than you will ever know. We don't take that trust lightly, and we know we have to earn it every single day.

I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Dillan and our entire North Star Automotive team! These guys are the heart and soul of what we do. They show up every day, work hard, tackle challenges, take pride in their work, and do their best to take care of every customer who walks through our doors. Building a great business starts with having great people, and we're incredibly thankful for the team we have.

We also want to thank Chris Adams and Todd Adams for the opportunity to carry forward what they built with Quick Brakes and continue serving this community.

Our goal from day one has been pretty simple: Provide honest service, give trusted advice, treat people right, and be the kind of automotive shop we'd want our own family to use.

We're proud of what we've accomplished in our first year, but we're even more excited about what's ahead!

We forgot to post pics this weekend but North Star Automotive was proud to sponsor a car in the Burnet County Rodeo Association Demolition Derby.
Our car was called "The North Star" and it placed third in the finals.
