NEW - 4k 19" X'pand units in stock.... limited quantities!

Every X'pand unit features the intuitive dial and constructed with 100% milled aluminum. Absolutely no painted scrap metal and fabricated joints that rust/crack in time. Best of all, they automatically adjust to your units aspect ratio. This means there are no dead areas, black lines, or touch issues regardless of what you connect them to (ie 8610 or HDS 12)!!!!

Initial price was $2799, but I will run this lot at $2699. Message me here or at our website to pick one up. I will now throw in a custom screen strap in addition to the standard buckle previously provided.

Want to take a win/win chance? Great opportunity to pick up an X'pand and support a worthy cause.

The Ron Wong Legacy Foundation helps get women into the outdoors. So far, they've worked to support fishing camps, but other endeavors are surely on the horizon. Last year I had the privilege to take some folks fishing. I also got to watch my daughter learn from some of the best in the business. We both made some amazing new friends, and I even got to fish with a long time friend I had never shared a boat with... Watching her catch her first open water fish was a joy (they are big time into trolling)!

Empowering, confidence building, and forming a network... all great things for women who love the outdoors!

For those who have water issues... Here is a look at the echomap construction and how water gets in. I hope this helps. Siliconized adhesive holds the screen on along with clips in the back. I actually squeezed out the perimeter of the screen so as to ensure a seal all around. If I don't get that, I add adhesive. I clean the screen and joint with 99% alcohol for aesthetics after that.

I'll be showing more details about how the units are constructed as time permits. As far as build quality goes, I rank units lowrance, Garmin and then humminbird. I'll support my ranking over time.

Lowrance is built like a tank. Garmin is good but delicate. Humminbird has a lot of solder issues in the solix line.... And voltage regulation. Helix line the screens separate but are built very tough.

Front deck looking like an ideal crappie boat. You guides could haul a mess of people!

Looking for a 4k big screen?

All new ghost gray 19" 4k X'pand units arrived today. Limited run of these units. Finish is kind of like an elephant skin texture designed to deflect more sun than traditional black units.

Still all aluminum, milled construction and same features as the HD line. I've added a button on the side to kill touch in the event you want to clean the unit etc. No shortcuts or cheap painted steel construction!

These are sharp! They will certainly stand out. Initial price was $2799, but I will run this lot at $2699. I will be adding them online soon. Feel free to message me here and I can get your order taken care of. I anticipate these moving pretty fast so don't wait if interested.

All screens will now come with a logo screen cover strap as well as the traditional strap. Take your pick. I have both orange and black cords.

Got a nice surprise in the mail today. Phillip is retired and has an older unit that we couldn't find parts for. Had to micro solder a jumper on the board to get the unit going again. Worked out great.

I got into this to help folks save money and get back on the water. I always tell folks that fishermen are some of the best people and this is another example why I feel that way. This card means everything! Never know how much a small gesture will mean to someone.... uplift if you can.

Enjoyed a nice evening with Rick Kewell and Jason Hynes who were passing by on the way to Arkansas by way of Ontario, Canada!!! Rick's 126 got a tune up and we all enjoyed some wings in town!

If you are passing through, reach out. I'll arrange repairs so you can grab them same day when possible.

Pleasure meeting you all and thank you for the visit!

Repair inventory is flowing in well. If you have waited, please message me to schedule. I also have straps for covers now. I'll be including them with screen purcgases and adding them to repair orders for $10.

Here are the units I have replacement screens for:

Echomap 126
Echomap 106

8616
8612 (1 unit unspoken for)

HDS 12(live and pro)

Helix 12

1222/1242 (2 units)

X'pand units: I have good inventory of 19" 1080 and 4k units. Limited stock of 16". I will likely shift to all 4k units very soon for all Garmin products.

****Lowrance customers stay tuned! I'll be carrying a new model very soon that is plug and play. You no longer need any box. **** I will carry these in 19" to start. Price will be the same as existing 19" units. These will be designed specifically for the HDS12 units. ****

Time has come to officially update the page name. A lot going on behind the scenes and plan to launch into other sectors by spring. Please note the new name if you refer others to the page! I sure appreciate everyone's support. It's been a fantastic year so far.

Website has been live, but is being updated and upgraded in the background. Soon, it will be the hub for all repairs and X'pand screen orders.

Keep an eye on www.grumpysoutdoorelectronics.com!
