👉 Copper, Platinum, Iridium or Ruthenium not every spark plug lasts the same or performs the way.
Here are the main types you should know,

>Copper Spark Plugs conduct electricity very well and are affordable but their electrodes wear faster and usually require more frequent replacement.
>Platinum resist wear and high temperatures better. That is why it normally lasts longer than a conventional copper spark plug.
>Double Platinum uses precious metal on both electrode wear surfaces it is especially useful in ignition systems where the spark operates in both directions.
>Iridium allows a much finer center electrode this helps create a stable spark, good engine response and a significantly longer service life.
>Double Iridium uses Iridium on both major wear points helping maintain consistent ignition performance over a very long service interval.
>Silver Spark Plugs offer excellent thermal and electrical conductivity but they are less common and are normally used in specific applications so called.
>Laser Iridium Plugs use precious metal electrodes designed for long life and stable ignition. Always install the exact specification required by your engine.
>Ruthenium is a newer spark plug technology designed for strong wear resistance, reliable ignition and long service life in modern engines.
Do not choose a Spark Plug just because it costs more always use the material heat range and gap specified by the manufacturer.
