Here is an example why you shouldn’t waste your time sending photos to your insurance company.

There is minimal effort put forth in generating these “estimates” and they will not give you the true cost of repair.

These “estimates” are simply damage documentation documents that most of the time do not even document the damage correctly. See supporting evidence below.

(I assure you there is no damage on the left side of this Volvo.)

The reason your little "dent" cost so much to repair is because a correct repair requires lots of labor. It is not "excessive" just the correct way to repair the vehicle. It is also exactly how we would repair our own vehicle.

Tip for the body shops: On most Volvos remember to disconnect the TCAM after disconnecting the 12v battery

Aaaaaaand it’s back. Damaged twice in about two or so months. Same exact spot! Both times not the owners fault. Thankfully owner is a good sport about it.

Another corrective repair caused by an insurance company’s “recommended” shop. This is 1 of 3 we currently have in the shop.

Just because an insurance company recommends you to a body shop does not mean you’re going to have your vehicle repaired correctly.

This 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee was brought to us after having his car repaired at an insurance company’s economy shop.

Poor fitment of the front bumper and a horrible color match were some of the customers concerns.

After removing the front bumper we found damage to the front bumper reinforcement and A/C condenser that the prior shop just ignored (or did they get paid to fix it?) Incorrect clips that barely hold the bumper together, two different types of fog light bulbs and plenty of knockoff parts.

This is why it is imperative to have your Tesla repaired by a certified collision repair facility. This Model S was previously repaired improperly and created a major safety risk for the occupants of the vehicle.

The rear body panel and quarter panel was held on with household sheet rock screws. Without the proper rivets and structural adhesive in place the panels collapsed and separated upon impact.
