This pic really shows why we love doing this every day. Joe took his grandson, Jack, fishing with us to show him our local NYC fishery. Jack’s caught 10lb largemouth bass and a 9lb walleye at home in Montauk and was an absolute beast on the rod all day! (And who even knew there were bass and walleye out in Montauk? 😂)
We netted our bait in the bay first thing, then hit every spot on the way out to the eeling grounds. We put in a solid effort at every stop—missed a bunch, caught a few, but it’s not always about the final headcount. We had a real adventure running over 100 miles, witnessing some incredible surface strikes, seeing tons of sea life, and most importantly, watching Joe and Jack make some epic memories together!

🔥BLUEFIN REGULATION UPDATE 🔥
We went from being able to keep zero Bluefin to 3 per trip this season! This is going to be a game-changer for our July fishery before the Yellowfin show up. Last year, we had a massive Bluefin bite less than 15 miles from the dock in Center Moriches, and this season is setting up to be just as good.

For our afternoon trip we had John & friends back out with us again for a real slam dunk of a trip! There was so many bass around we caught em in the cast net & the guys started landing fish before we could even put the net away lol. We bounced around catching and easy limit & fish to 42”

Another fun one with Itchie bringing 3 generations on the boat today! we waited out the rain & pushed out at 11am, but the fish didn’t mind the late start. Bait was slapping everywhere & bass snapped at almost every stop. Hopefully our afternoon curse is lifted lol.

Had Shane & the boys back out with us today for a relaxing morning of live bait fishing. A quick one & done throw filled the livewells, a short run to the grounds and we started catching immediately. We had a steady pick, catching a few fish at every spot. Mostly overs but the boys managed to land a few keepers for dinner 🤘

Another great open boat today with the regular crew of heavy hitters! Love it when everything goes according to plan for once lol. Smoked the bait then caught fish almost every drift the whole trip. Lots of overs with a few keepers 🤘

This morning we had Flo & the gang for his annual Rockfish birthday trip with us. We left an hour early to beat the weekend crowds & got bait immediately then caught fish everywhere we went. They got their limit with a bunch of releases, happy birthday bro 🤘
Unfortunately the afternoon was another story. The deadly mix of wind against tide & lots of beer = nonstop tangles. By the time everyone got dialed in we lost the tide and the wind started huffing. We picked a couple fish and missed a ton more but not close to what we wanted. Thnx for sticking it out guys.

This morning we had Paul & friends out for some classic Jamaica Bay live bait fishing. As always catching bait was harder than catching fish lol. It took a little longer than we like to load the wells but the time spent was well worth it & we started hooking fish immediately on our 1st drift. Young Tommy Gun was smoking bass al morning & the grownups had trouble keeping up! They got an easy limit & tons of releases. For our afternoon we had Steve & his grandson out & we tried for a repeat of the morning trip. We hooked up on the 1st cast again, but the tide/moon/wind combination worked against us most of the afternoon, but they fished hard & caught some nice fish. We were even able to tuck out of the wind & enjoy warm weather 🤘

Had a pair of quality time family charters today that caught A LOT of fish lol. This morning was pretty windy for Arlan & the gang, but they toughed it out & got into some real nice feeds. Our afternoon trip for Darwin & the fam was special. Non stop feeds of bass blasting bunker into the air with an all you catch buffet in 50 degree November temps was as good as it gets 🤘🤘
