Late Model Engines 20w50 for the win!

We switched to Late Model Engines 20w50 formula in the pits at Holley LS Fest Texas back in May.
Before with VR1 or cheaper 20w50 we were changing the oil after EVERY run and the oil would always look burnt and appear to have lost viscosity after a single run! The first round of LME oil has been in the pan since mid May and has seen-

3 months of use
4/5 full skids
test burnouts
trailer burnouts
Countless 2-step checks
260-300* ects 🫣

I think once I get the radiator relocated and get those ects under control the oil will perform even better! But I’m super impressed with how it holds up to heat abuse and doesn’t seem to care about a lil fuel. Of course Ethanol isn’t as bad as M1 but it’s a night a day difference compared to what we previously used!
Not only is it great for the engine but it’s cheaper than running cheaper oil and changing it every run when you get multiple skids and events out of a single oil change.

There was some fuel and aeration in the oil but not a lot at all. No bearing material or metal. Pulled the valve covers and it the oil looks brand new. 🙏🏻This engine has taken a BEATING since being installed before burnout rivals last Oct/Nov. video coming soon!
