We’ve confirmed recently our website was displaying the incorrect conversion (double) when the Canadian currency was selected because Shopify automatically converts based on your location. Pricing was always corrected when you added products to your cart but if you were just browsing you were seeing inflated prices. We are working to get it resolved. Had the pleasure of meeting Dave last year. He went out of his way to pay me a compliment the first time we spoke. His kindness will be greatly missed.

Yesterday, we lost one of our Cup Karts Canada family members, Dave Merritt.

Dave was one of those people who never looked for recognition. He just showed up, helped wherever he could, and quietly made things better for everyone around him. Whether it was helping someone struggling in the pits, cheering people on, or giving advice to a young racer trying to find their way, Dave was always there.

He truly believed in grassroots karting and in the people that make this sport special. The amount of messages and stories shared over the last day show just how many lives he touched. He was loved by everyone who had the privilege to know him.

Our paddock will not feel the same without him in it.

On behalf of all of us at Cup Karts Canada, we send our deepest condolences to Dave’s family and friends. He will be missed greatly and remembered always. Pictures from and Kelly Goodenough
