'14 Audi S5 in the shop this week due to loss of power & running rough on a cold start. We replaced the faulty oil separator. These 3.0L engines are direct injection and with time the intake valves get coated with a carbon build-up. It's a good idea to check the intake valves any time the intake manifold is off. We used Dry Ice blasting to clean the intake valves while we were in there.

The customer's concern was "smoke coming from the engine area."
Engine oil was leaking due to a failed valve cover gasket. Engine oil was leaking onto the exhaust.
We recommended installing a new BMW valve cover assembly due to the material being plastic and the integrated PCV valve.

Work carried out on this 2015 BMW 435i xDrive Gran Coupe:
✅New BMW valve cover assembly
✅Performed transmission pan service
