Along the lines of “when I was young we had to walk to school. Three miles in the snow…uphill” and “get off my lawn” I submit the following - “when I was young we had to build our own toys”. Revell made the best, most detailed and accurate car models ever. You had to assemble them, paint the components, and glue it together (sometimes as many as 150 pieces). Man oh man, when you finished and got the paint job just right you had a very complete and accurate a scale model as you could ask for. Also, the glue… smells like oranges but they warn you not to sniff it. Don’t make out smell like oranges if you don’t want me to sniff it. Did you ever assemble a Revell model kit?
