Today, the FBI joins the nation in remembering the victims of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The blast destroyed most of the nine-story building, injuring hundreds of people and taking the lives of 168, making it the deadliest act of homegrown terrorism in U.S. history. The FBI immediately responded to help, and the lessons learned shaped our approach to terrorism investigations in the years that followed. We wanted to let everyone know that we will be closed this coming Saturday, March 7th. We will re-open Monday as normal.
We have made the decision to close the first Saturday of each month to give our crew a weekend to enjoy their families. Some exceptions will modify those days if any holidays fall into the same week.
